How to enable external storage (Local)

You can use nextcloud external storage app to expand your storage capacity. Here, I'll show you how to do that.

1. Installation

Step 1: Add [External storage support] App

Command

[Apps]: External storage support

2. Setup

Step 1: Check the Disk information

Command

[Administration settings] -> [System]

E.g.

Now, we know the local path is the '/media/nextcloud/data'.

Step 2: Setup the local folder

Command

[Administrator setting] -> Administration: External Storage

Folder name: Local

Authentication: None

Configuration: /media/nextcloud/data

Folder

Test 1: create a folder: test

Test 2: Create md5 file

Test 3: upload a photo and video
