How to change color of a range of cells if the value of a cell is greater than the above one

Method 1: Just point to the address of the above cell without dollar sign, $.

Step 1: Formula

If your cell's address is C3, set the formula as

Greater than =C2

Step 2: Apply the formula range to whole column.

Method 2: Indirect + Address + Row + Col Commands

Step 1: Peak any cell and input the

= INDIRECT(ADDRESS(ROW(),COLUMN()))> INDIRECT(ADDRESS(ROW()-1,COLUMN()))

Step 2: Apply to whole range of cells in column
